In the end everything collides 421 @spidey The Yakuza didn’t control all of the crime in New York, it might have been profitable, but it would be more dangerous to be an organisation so large. At that point the government that had been content enough to turn a blind eye to them might begin to fear their power. It was the same in Japan. The Yakuza survived through division, the Yamaguchi-Gumi might be the largest criminal organisation in the world, but in Japan it was but one of a dozen different factions. In New York it was the same, the Yakuza had their territories, the Triads, the Mob, the Mafia and Gangsters had theirs. Everyone existed in a sort of delicate half-truce. Some groups even had what could be called friendly relationships.
Sonnet had heard about tonight quite by accident. The group was Eastern-European, and while they and the Yakuza were not friends, they did not have a particularly strained relationship. This group operated mainly in the business of flesh, and several of the Yakuza’s recent purchases for certain aspects of their business had come through these men. They were good at their job, and they moved people in bulk from Europe. The Yamaguchi-Gumi didn’t operate much trafficking from Europe, so they often shored up their business with that undertaken by other groups.
Sonnet had never liked that part of the business. There was something about it that she just found distasteful, and she’d always made an effort to avoid any personal involvement. It was probably one of the reasons why she was a shateigashira and Ando had risen to wakagashira, he was more willing to get involved in all aspects of their business. It was only Sonnet’s effectiveness in everything else, and he metahuman abilities, that kept her where she was. Kenshin, her Kobun knew her ambitions well, and he offered her opportunities to advance, most of them she seized with both hands. But she had always erred away from those involving the purchase of people.
They were unloading the container now, and Sonnet felt her jaw tighten. She hadn’t planned to be here, but she couldn’t sleep. For a teleporter a simple walk could take her hundreds of miles. Tonight, it had only taken her a fraction of that.
The men could see her, perched as she was in the shadows above them. She was about to leave when she heard someone cry out. She closed her eyes, muttering a brief prayer and asking for her father to forgive her, then she pulled out her gun.

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]New York was the land of opportunities— but not all of them were legally supported by the states. It wasn’t anything but a reality; one that anyone could find even in books, comics, everywhere. It was pretty much how it worked and perhaps how it was meant to be in the first place: there were the good and the ‘bad’ people. Who knew what had pushed the latter to commit such activities, but regardless, they could not be allowed to continue with their plans, regardless of the reason or purpose. That was what the authorities were there for, usually, at least. On the other hand now, though, there was also the Program— more specifically, fully fledged heroes and stuff like that. And then there were peeps like August; those who weren’t a part of the government’s program and were also considered a threat similar to the bad guys. The man, though, did not particularly consider that train of thought at all. Not that he knew way too many vigilantes, honestly, he didn’t quite get too hooked up about that. He just did what he liked to do: put on a Spider-Man cosplay and then pretty much imitate the web-slinger the best he could with his powers. But the more he did it, the more he felt his alter-ego become part of his actual persona. He couldn’t actually explain it all that great, but he felt the role of Spider-Man adhere over his personality ever so slowly he continued to act like the masked vigilante. Even though, he did wonder— what about his identity? He didn’t actually wear a mask to cover himself at first, because of the whole vigilantism and whatnot. August did it quite literally to feel like the superhero would have in the comics. Although, the more he wondered about it and the more he’d come to realize that maybe he had to necessarily put on a mask regardless of whose fictional character it was. If people knew who he was, the government would have had all the necessary information and tools to throw him in a cell or something like that. Not to mention villains— well, maybe not. No way he had made mortal enemies off a gang or stuff like that just yet. But he could totally imagine the thugs he had stopped in their criminal tracks to hold a grudge against him. Ah well. Not his problem. Kind of. Speaking of gangs, though, it was during his wall-crawling that he had accidentally peeked into a conversation that was supposed to be private and had him learn of a particular event happening later that night. New York’s wall-crawler couldn’t miss it, of course! After having prepared himself in his suit and left his clothes within a backpack which he left stuck somewhere on the rooftops of his apartment, the man took off from the building and carefully aimed his webs as he swung all the way between buildings until he had at least come close to the place. From there on, he thought about his approach that should have definitely been a little more silent which would have probably guaranteed a better result. Not that he made too much noise with his web-slinging, nor did people usually look up at the skies, but it wasn’t a risk he was willing to take in case he was getting himself in something dangerous. And so, Spidey silently crawled over the rooftops— similarly as to how a spider would until he met what he would have believed to be the right place. It was only a quick eavesdrop and he wasn’t even way too sure if there was anything illegal going on at the moment, but it was worth a shot, right? As the spider watched from the shadows, though, he could not quite tell what was going on until he heard a cry— it came from the container… there were people inside that? Was this a kidnapping? Alright, whatever this was, he couldn’t certainly just swing away. He was currently laid against the corner of a building, covered within the shadows, so, he technically had an advantage, right? He would have only had to web them up without them even spotting him. So, he had to keep his mouth shut. August spun a pair of webs from his hand, both aimed towards two thugs as he pretty much pulled them off the ground as he wrapped the other end of the web over a metal bar, leaving them in mid-air. “ Alright… Just shut up, no jokes and keep going like this—” But it was stronger than his persona. The vigilante couldn’t help but actually shoot a web that stuck onto the rooftop as he slowly lowered himself down, hanging upside down his web as both his feet were tightly planted against the shaft of the ‘spider rope’. “ Hey, how’s it hanging?” Goddamnit. In the end everything collides 500 @spidey Sonnet didn’t quite expect someone else to show up, and in such a cinematic manner. She was pretty sure she had actually seen that whole thing in a movie before, and she idly wondered whether she was actually dreaming this entire experience. The man responsible for the two thugs predicament was in a complete getup as Spider-Man. She was pretty sure he wasn’t a Hero, for one, Disney would have sued him into the ground if he was; or taken out a hefty sponsorship. That and she was relatively familiar with the Heroes in NYC, more than she would care to admit in fact.
It was fortunate however, that the man had appeared when he had, and Sonnet took advantage of the sudden distraction to slam one of the Eastern European thugs against a cargo container, bashing his head repeatedly against the metal until he went down with a groan. She picked up the gun he was carrying, a compact and evil looking sub machine gun. It wasn’t to her taste, but she had an idea to throw them off her scent.
Already one of the men had started firing up at the web slinger, while a number of others began to pick up guns and crowbars, arming themselves for what they believed would be a short fight. Most wouldn’t tangle with a metahuman, but she didn’t blame them for not taking a man dressed as a comic book character seriously. Even if the last year should have taught them better than to do so.
She leaned out and fired a hail of bullets towards the man taking potshots at the fanboy, leaning back out of sight and teleporting across to the opposite side. This time she didn’t even bother aiming, simply hooking the machine gun around the corner and pulling the trigger until it clicked empty. She dropped the gun to the floor with a clatter. Already the ruse was working, and she moved again, stepping through space to appear crouching on top of a container, firing twice and clipping a thug running for cover.
The men were looking about wildly and shouting instructions to each other in a language she didn’t understand, but she could tell that they were confused and thought that the vigilante had been accompanied by a much bigger group.
There were screams from the cargo container the men had been clustered around. Obviously their ‘merchandise’ could hear the gunfire and were afraid of being caught in the fight. She didn’t blame them. They hadn’t asked to be here, to be in this situation, and they certainly hadn’t asked to be caught in a dustup between a vigilante and a human trafficking gang. Her jaw tightened. She’d have to be careful, she couldn’t risk word of this getting back to Kenshin, so she’d have to keep her use of her abilities to a minimum, but that didn’t stop the Spider guy from using his. She only hoped he was smart enough to pull it off.

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]Spidey didn’t quite know whether it would be lucky or not that he wasn’t apparently alone in his ‘acts’. That’s what he assumed, at least, as shortly after he had made his appearance, he heard quite a loud bang but he didn’t quite notice or associate anything. His mind simply trailed it off in quite a simple set of info: just one of the thugs making noise, right? He couldn’t quite stop himself to confirm it. After all, it wasn’t soon until the criminals responded to his appearance. He didn’t quite need spider senses to see it either; one of them pulled out his gun and began firing at the red and blue vigilante— alright, maybe he could have played this a little better given he was going to deal with… a few dozens? August didn’t quite counter-attack, as much as he had trained himself in swinging and imitating Spider-Man; did he actually know how to fight— or at least, had he even looked at some moves? Well, the latter one would be a yes, because of Spider-Man of course. But he wasn’t formally versed in the art of combat. Yeah, maybe he should have looked into that. He just used to improvise. While he didn’t respond offensively; he did defensively as he did the easiest thing he could think of— swing away from the enemy range as he shot webs and circled areas, swinging pretty much like one would see in a Spidey film. But what actually concerned him was not the incoming danger, but rather, rapid-fire directed towards the thug. “ ...Did someone just mistake that guy for me? Because now that would just be rude!” Spidey was confused at the moment and believed it was just an accident but he had the chance to observe and admire how the rapid fire didn’t cease to a stop but he couldn’t quite catch a clear sight of the guy aiding the vigilante. He guessed it had to be another vigilante at this point. August wasn’t alone in this! Awesome! The masked vigilante soon let go of his webs and landed dead solid on the container as he heard people shout— he couldn’t blame them. It must be terrifying. “Don’t worry, guys! The rescue has arrived,” - said the male as he hopped off the surface of the ‘sack’ and as he flipped in mid-air, shot large webs from his wrists; aiming to seal the container and the people inside from being involved physically because of the fire. “Just close your eyes, take a walk, have some popcorn and give us a few!” As Spidey found himself on the ground, though, greeted by the sight of the men— as they were shouting out instructions in… some weird language. He didn’t exactly understand what they were going on about but hey— not exactly his deal. “ Anybody ever taught you to say it like you eat it?” August caught their attention once more as they aimed at him, he didn’t exactly know how fond the other ‘vigilante’ was of plans, but he had something in mind! Given they would probably focus him once more, the spider just shot a rapid web, pulling himself off the ground and onto the wall with both his feet that supported him as he stood onto the wall and then ran onto its bricky surface. “ They’re all yours, buddy. Take down their legs!” The man then began to shoot webs at the feet of the group, attempting to cover as much ground as he could, to render them sticky as they would focus him. He was pretty much being the bait for the other… whoever it was! MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#da0d0d;[/newclass]

In the end everything collides 391 @spidey Another spray of bullets knocked down one of the thugs, his gun bouncing away from him and dropping into the harbour with a black splash. Sonnet dashed from one patch of cover to the next, intentionally giving the thugs something to fire at, while teleporting to new patches of cover to continue the illusion that there was more than one person opening fire at them. That every person running about was exactly the same height and build was lost in the darkness and confusion.
It seemed that the lunatic in the red suit was still attracting a lot of attention though, and understandably so. He was shouting for one thing, and his bright red costume showed up a great deal better in the darkness and shadows than Sonnet's own dark gear. She watched a strange white material being sprayed in the direction of the container that the thugs had used to bring in their merchandise.
A moment later that same material was fired in the direction of the armed men, this time at their feet. And that damn guy just wouldn't shut up. Whatever that strange white stuff was, it was tough, and sticky. The Eastern Europeans were stuck, despite their efforts to pull their feet free. Several of them were calling in their own language, but one or two of them swore in English. It seemed that they weren't getting out of it easily.
Sonnet took advantage of their struggling and laid down a barrage of fire with a liberated machine gun. In deference to her unexpected ally's apparent desire not to kill these men, she fired it above their heads, and shouted out, doing her best to disguise her voice. That was assisted by occasional punctuation by way of gunshots.
"You're outnumbered and surrounded, drop your guns and get on your knees."
There was some shouted conversation amongst the men, they were clearly arguing. Some of them wanted to fight, others did not. Then, one by one, they started to drop their guns and weapons until only a handful were left standing, casting about them to find a target. Sonnet shot one in the shoulder, he screamed before dropping to his knees, but the other two opened fire in her direction, forcing her to duck for cover and hope that the costumed individual was well-equipped to deal with them.

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]Okay, wow! This was actually working out. Despite his absence of any combat experience, the man had at least gotten far enough with his imagination to figure out a way to keep them tight and in one spot. But he didn’t want them to die regardless; so as far as they were leg injuries, he didn’t care all that much. Though, the mysterious ‘ally’ had a better idea and simply intimidated them with shots above their heads. Huh. Quite clever. It wasn’t long before she even made a “voice reveal” and shouted out towards the bunch of low lives to simply stay down and surrender; they had no other choice at this point, apparently. But there was also who preferred to keep fighting. For reasons, Spidey could not quite understand. But they received a grim warning as one of them was shot in the shoulder and left even August to kind of… grimace. That one had to hurt a lot. Okay, though, it looked like at least two had managed to put the shadow back on her guard; at this point, August simply shot a pair of projectile webs to stick onto their faces and it worked! “ You have the right to remain silent!” But they continued to aim point blank shots and one of them happened to actually connect and graze August through his costume, tearing his costume in a straight line and also his skin, causing a bleeding bruise on top of his shoulder. August gasped and soon growled silently as he didn’t quite expect such fresh sensation of pain… and worse, he lost his balance and fell off the wall but he soon launched his hand forth and spun a web to the other building as he actually tossed himself, with both his legs extended forward and his feet aiming to collide against the two’s heads, for him to strike them down. Notes: I am sorry for the waiting. I promise I'll post quickly from now on or Calico will burn my IRL Spider-Man cosplay.MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#da0d0d;[/newclass]

In the end everything collides 263 @spidey Sonnet had already teleported away from the area where she had taken cover, glancing around the container she was behind to see the two men still standing clawing at that strange white material on their faces. They were still shooting as well, but it was almost worse now, because they were firing blind. Sonnet wouldn't be able to simply distract them and teleport, there was still a chance they would hit her.
Her thoughts were cut short however, by the red-suited individual's next actions. He flashed out of the sky, apparently swinging more of the strange white stuff. His feet collided with the back of the two men's heads, hard, and she winced as she watched them both topple forwards face first. They didn't get back up, either because they had given up or because they were unconscious.
She took the opportunity to step out of her cover, grateful for the mask covering her face. It wouldn't do for the gang to realise who it was who had played a part in their takedown tonight. She shouted behind her as if to her own invisible gang.
"You guys wait, if anyone moves, shoot them."
She took a few more steps forward, towards the red suited man. It was then that she recognised him, or more accurately, the suit he was wearing. From head to toe he was wearing what looked like an exact replica of Spiderman's suit. Well that settled it, he definitely wasn't a Hero, Marvel would have had a field day with that lawsuit.
"So are you really Peter Parker or..?"

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]Spidey didn’t honestly even think about what he was about to do, it just happened for him to fall off in a goofy way and on his way down; it was almost natural for him to think about a canonic Spider-Man move which was what he was about to perform. When his body pushed forth his weight and with his lower limbs extended forth for a better control of his movement, but also to hit harder, he passed through the thugs and ‘decimated’ them; not literally, but you know, at least he got rid of the last one who dared to oppose them. August soon got with his feet down to Earth and felt somewhat dizzy as he almost smacked against a wall but he prevented himself to as he pushed himself away ad he thrust a hand forth against the surface of the bricks. The man soon eyed his shoulder only to notice his perfect cosplay had suffered minor damage as he sighed. “ Here we go. Gonna have to pull an all-nighter to fix that,” - thought the man; the cut was minimal but he seriously wanted to restore it as perfectly as it could get. Soon enough, his unknown partner at arms finally made an appearance, too, in the midst of things and Spidey could not help but notice the extravagance of the mask. They asked if he was truly Peter Parker and that forced a chuckle out of his lips as he pondered an answer. “ Well,” - he mentioned and stared at the individual. “ You know who I am,” - said the man and allowed the other to take guesses. “ I am your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!” - he exclaimed and hopped off the ground, spinning a web all the way to the roof above him as he now rested upside down, both his feet clashed against the rope— as he held tightly its end with his hands and stared at the other. “ What is behind my mask is off-limits! Y’know, secret identity and everything. I have never met someone who could use weapons like that. By all I know you could be part of the FBI or some sort of secret organization,” - paused briefly the Spider as he smirked beneath his mask. “ S.H.I.E.L.D. is not a thing, right? You would be a perfect Nick Fury!--... Aside from the Chinatown discount mask.” MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#da0d0d;[/newclass]

In the end everything collides 277 @spidey Sonnet rolled her eyes, "Right, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man."
This guy was really committed to his cosplay, and therefore was definitely not a Hero. Sonnet had no idea of what had gone on at the higher levels of government when the Program was brought about, but she knew that Heroes weren't permitted to take up names that might be strongly protested by various commercial entities. Probably because the ensuing court-cases would just be too expensive. There must be some limit, but someone who had been in a movie less than two years ago was probably off the possible names list.
He was clearly an amateur, effective or not, especially when he asserted that she might work for the FBI or some sort of secret organisation. She opened her mouth to correct him, then paused. Shutting her mouth again, she reasoned that he had a point, the Yakuza were known, but they weren't exactly a household name in the US. That and she didn't want either him, nor the Eastern-Europeans to know who it was that she worked for, that would only make things worse.
Raising an eye behind her mask, Sonnet took a step towards the masked man. "Nick Fury? Isn't he a guy? Pretty sure I wouldn't quite fit the part."
She didn't mention the fact that she also wasn't black, but he didn't really need to know that.
"Last I checked, S.H.I.E.L.D. is not a thing, but it's not like they'd tell us if it was is it?"
She moved over to the prone and unconscious men, carefully kicking away any weapons that were too close.
"Now we should get those people out of that container."

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man indeed! Maybe it wasn’t exactly the answer the other might have looked for— but well, of course, he couldn’t be Peter Parker either. But, in a certain sense, it was probably for the best that he wouldn’t have encouraged the discussion any further but with a joke. They both wore masks, after all, so they were on a ground level when it came to secret identities. In the end, though, they had managed to get past these people’s defenses or well. Whatever it was, really. It turned out to be a little bit of a mess but they had at least stopped them from their malicious deeds. August watched the other curiously as she took another step towards him and brought up an interesting fact about Nick Fury’s gender. The man in the mask, though, didn’t say much but he just shrugged his shoulders off. The films did also change the character a lot from his comics counterpart, pretty sure gender wouldn’t have been that much of a problem. “ If you say so,” - mentioned the man. “ You handle guns really good, though!” She did have a point, though. It wasn’t likely that if ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ or similar organizations even exist they would even know much about it— August had never been one for conspiracies, but long before powers were even to come, it had always a common belief for such groups to exist; especially given history. “ Yeah. I wouldn’t be surprised, though. Plenty of people have superpowers now. I can totally see some groups that are not as known as the Program.” Soon, the man let go of the web and landed with both of his feet on the ground— the soles of his cosplay carefully touching the asphalt before he pushed himself up and joined the other as he walked up to the container. He had previously covered its ‘gates’, let’s say, with the silk to prevent shots from harming the innocent, now there was also the question about how they would have opened it. The web could be removed easily, but how would they bust it? Pretty sure neither of them had the strength to rip it apart, but maybe, unless she had one, he already had an idea. “ Say, uh, you think you can break in some car and move it here? I have an idea!” Spidey turned towards the other… whoever she was and quickly made gestures as he explained his plans. “ I could web it up from behind and then from the front to the car’s trunk, so you would just have to speed up until it’s enough for it to bust. My webs are probably strong enough to take it if I make a lot of them.” MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#da0d0d;[/newclass]

In the end everything collides 293 @spidey So the guy was a whole other level of nerd. Up close Sonnet could see how detailed the suit he was wearing was, it looked almost exactly like the suit in the movie. Sonnet wasn't exactly the type to go to the movies, but she wasn't against watching such things when they came on TV. There was an awful lot of waiting involved in what she did after all. It didn't help that… 'Spiderman' was now going on about conspiracy theories and secret organisations.
Not that she disagreed, if the Yakuza would employ someone like her, then the CIA must be just the same. Metahumans had become increasingly valuable commodities, with abilities that made them worth more than a whole pack of regular humans. They'd probably given it some sort of overly theatrical name as well.
She turned her attention towards the doors of the metal container. It was fastened tightly by the same strange sticky substance the Spiderman imitator had covered the gang members in. She poked at it cautiously, feeling it grip at the tip of her finger. She resolved not to try and tear it apart. She'd probably end up as stuck as the Eastern Europeans.
Behind her mask, she raised an eyebrow. "You want a car?"
Then he explained, "Right, I guess I can get a car."
Fortunately enough it seemed that the Ukrainians had not planned to walk their merchandise far. And tucked away behind a few of the shipping containers there were a couple of vans. Teleporting inside, Sonnet discovered that she needn't have bothered, the keys were still in the ignition. She pulled the van up around beside the container containing the women, roling down the window. "Will this do?"

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]It was completely unknown whether or not August was— No okay, he was a nerd all right. He didn’t exactly nurture the whole love for comics in the past years until certain things happened. But he did recall the times he’d read them back in the days— not that it was too much trouble. He’d still remember reading them along with his dad, too! Those were pretty cool times, honestly. Those were criminality and trouble were factors that couldn’t even be a part of a child’s life. Nowadays? Eh. Most kids would say they wanted to grow up quickly and become adults, but hilariously enough, in most cases, one would almost trade their adulthood to turn back. Would August do that? Maybe. But he’d rather go back in time, at best. Thoughts of a “peaceful” life weren’t even things he considered; there was so much dirt in so many shades— whether it to be common thugs or organized crime that, in the end, you couldn’t expect to be safe in the greatest metropolis, either. It was just like living in a jungle. Just… a lot more modern and civilized. In most cases, at least. But after he had received his mask, he did also put a lot of effort and money to get the rest of his cosplay done. Honestly? It took months and months. Sizes and all that stuff. Quite annoying, but it was worth the effort, at least! Now, he had some… fixing up to do, but it was nothing he couldn’t arrange, probably. Either way. He nodded his head in agreement. “ Yeah, a car! You know, I don’t think I can break the thing apart or anything so,” - mentioned the man briefly as he gazed at the ‘container’ and looked back at her. “ We can probably use a car if my plan can work at all.” Spider-Man smiled beneath his mask and gave her a thumb up of approval at her next statement as he turned around and simply hopped up the container with a leap against its surface. For he silently crouched above like a spider would and tried to think of how this could have worked. He wasn’t an expert physician but it was just common sense; the car couldn’t be the only thing pulling— else it’d just happen to carry the container around. So, they needed to stress the cage. But it had to do so to the point where even the back could be resistant enough not to allow the container to move from the spot. “ All right… What would Spider-Man do here? He’d probably bust it somehow, but I can’t do that, so. Maybe…” August uttered softly against the cloth of his mask before he exhaled sharply. He had an idea, but there was some stuff he had to prepare for this to function properly. The vigilante jumped off the container as he circled behind the ‘cage’. Soon, the man spun silk— a large amount of it against its surface, to the walls of the nearby building and light poles. But it wasn’t over. He webbed it up, from one side to the other, onto the ground. Everything was webbed up, but the front. The man behind the mask begun to sweat and tried to catch a breath every string of silk he created. Producing such large amounts at once could be tiring, but regardless, everything was more or less set for the next phase. Soon, the stranger with the mask also came back with a car. She rolled the window down and found herself with a Spidey who stared at her. “ Huh. Wow, that was fast,” - he commented before he folded his arms over his chest and stared between the car and the container. “ ‘Dunno. Guess there’s only one way to find out.” He spawned more webs, this time, he was aiming to stick them from the trunk of the car to the bars they were aiming to break through, in order to completely wreck the cargo container’s lock mechanism and unlock the gates. “ Alright, now speed up as much as you can!” The objective was basically to make the iron bars to snap and automatically unlock the cargo. “ Stop immediately when we're done or if the web breaks!” His silk was strong and he had used as much as it could to form a thick web. So, thankfully, it should be able to take it and have the locks give up first. MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#da0d0d;[/newclass]

In the end everything collides 488 @spidey By the time Sonnet had returned she found that the strange cosplaying vigilante had absolutely festooned the area with that strange white material. She supposed she should call it his web. The container looked like it was almost fixed in place with the… web except for the front doors, which he had left clear. Obviously, he had put some thought into just how they might go about this. She couldn't fault his preparation, until she stepped out of the van and let him web up the back.
He was thorough, but each time he drew a web from the container doors to the back of the van, he attached it to the doors. Doors held on by comparatively flimsy steel hinges. She shook her head. This wouldn't work, accelerating at all would just pull the doors straight off the back of the van before it did anything to the container.
"Look," she gestured towards the underside of the vehicle. "You can't just tie the back doors to it, you've got to attach it to something stronger. Like the main part of the van, underneath."
The masked man seemed almost to be out of breath, which was strange. Creating the web used resources from his body? It made sense. After all Sonnet's ability did something similar, feeding directly off the energy of her body, and necessitating a vastly increased diet.
Even so he did as she instructed, solidifying and strengthening the connection between the vehicle and the steel bar fastening the doors of the container. She cast a glance in the direction of the prone crooks. None of them had moved much, several were unconscious, and having removed the guns Sonnet knew the rest would likely remain docile, even so she didn't like that they were still here. The web stuff seemed strong though, and they clearly weren't going anywhere.
She climbed back into the van, leaving the door open so the wannabe hero could shout out if something went wrong. Then she slowly put her foot down.
The van started off slow, then as it took up the slack stopped moving entirely. Then she knew she could drop her foot to the floor. Engine roaring and wheels squealing, the van failed to move anywhere and thick white smoke began to pour from the tires. She pressed her foot harder, hoping to eke a few more horsepower out of the engine.
Something unhealthy sounding happened in the engine, then there was an almighty metallic snap and the van lurched forwards. Sonnet slammed the brakes on, leaping out of the vehicle to see the container doors hanging open, revealing the two dozen women that had been crammed into the tight confines of the container.
She pushed the Spiderman towards the group. She was wearing a black mask and carrying a gun, likely she'd do no more than terrify them even more.
"There's another couple of vans. You calm them down."

LIVING ON THE EDGE, FIGHTING CRIME, SPINNING WEBS, LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE, ARRIVING AT THE SPEED OF TIME— FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN [attr="class","monsterexo"]The vigilante was indeed quite a bit out of resources. Sure, it didn’t give him too much trouble to use webs usually— but for this, he had suddenly put too much output in such a short time that it was almost exhausting. There was little to do about it, though, there was no way he could just open a cargo container without the actual keys or anything like that. So, there was little choice. Unless some of the men would have talked, but honestly? He didn’t trust even allowing them to move. They could have called some sort of back-up or stuff like that. August didn’t believe this could be the last of their group. After all, these people were being sold to someone, right? There was definitely something bigger into this and it was frightening for the man, every time, to realize there was so much out there that not even a crime-fighting webhead could handle all by himself. Soon, his masked ally soon came to give a little point which August didn’t realize at first. But she was right— there was no way the trunk could sustain the pull. After all, it was only a ‘cosmetic’, almost, so not entirely part of the infrastructure of the vehicle. “ Yeah, you’re right, alright! I feel like a real spider doing all these webs. Difference is... I am definitely more amazing than just any spider. Prettier, too. Fewer limbs, though. But hey, no problem, I got'cha,” - responded the man as he soon did the cool gesture with his hands and directed several webs underneath the van. Now, they could give this a try! But, unfortunately, as much as it seemed like their plan would be giving results— an engine failure happened and resulted in the webs only being able to slightly turn the gates open as several figures were now visible. Wow. This was actually creepy. To think they were all women, too. Somehow, it grazed against its back in utter disgust as to how cruel people could be but at the same time, a sense of protection hit him. He couldn’t believe he had literally just stumbled upon people trading women to places only whatever higher-up knew where. It was worrisome, honestly, on a human level. The masked individual pushed Spidey and indicated him to deal with that, to which, he agreed without hesitation. She was right. Plus, he was technically… ‘popular’. Spider-Man was, at least, so maybe they could even feel amusement to see him. The masked vigilante approached the gap in the gates and excitedly waved, almost as if nothing was wrong. “ Hey ladies! Don’t worry, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is about to get you all back home. Just, stay back from the gates— we’re this close from getting you out, we just need a little cooperation.” Soon enough, the man in red and blue laid gently against the gate of the container as he watched cautiously in case some thug would try to do anything or if anyone else came along, and also readying himself to shoot some more webs as he took a deep breath. Hopefully, they would be able to open these damn blasted doors soon enough. The man’s head popped up for a minute as he chuckled and gestured a thumb up within the gap between the gates. “ For those who have kids, feel free to take a picture later, so you can tell your kids you’re such an awesome mom that you actually met Spider-Man.” MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#da0d0d;[/newclass]

In the end everything collides 243 @spidey Sonnet returned with a second van and was disappointed to see that the vigilante had done nothing to move the women out of the container. Rolling her eyes, she climbed out of the van. She could have teleported out, but it would have been a waste of energy, and like 'Spiderman' energy for her ability was a finite resource.
She muttered to herself in Japanese, "Can't trust anyone to do a job properly."
She approached the doors, the heavy lock that had held them closed now in pieces and hanging from each one. With a heave, she pushed the doors further apart, so that the women inside could leave more easily. Perhaps he'd had the right idea though. They looked afraid, and while most would likely have been too afraid to make a run for it, there were a few looks of defiance amongst the group. Maybe the nerd had done something right after all.
She spoke slowly, clearly, hoping that at least a few of them had enough English to understand what she was saying. "Half of you need to get in the van, we'll take you somewhere safe. There's another van, which I'll go and get, I'm going to leave you with…" She gestured at the weirdo in the red suit, at a loss for words, "… Spidey. He'll help you guys get in, while I get the other van OK."
She turned to her temporary ally. "You can drive right?"
